Online anxiety therapy in California
That tight feeling in your chest at 2am. The Sunday dread that starts on Saturday. The way your brain won't stop replaying conversations from six months ago. Anxiety is exhausting. And you don't have to white-knuckle your way through it. We're two licensed therapists in California who work with you over secure video to figure out what's driving the worry and build a different way of responding to it.
How we treat anxiety
Over 40 million adults in the US deal with an anxiety disorder every year (NIMH, 2023). It's the most common mental health condition in the country. And fewer than 37% of those people get any treatment at all.
We use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is a fancy way of saying we help you notice the thought patterns that keep you stuck and build better ones. It's not about positive thinking. It's about accurate thinking.
Sessions happen over secure video from anywhere in California. Each one is an hour, and individual therapy is $125 per session.
What this actually looks like
- We figure out your specific triggers and the thought patterns behind them
- You learn grounding and breathing techniques you can use between sessions
- We work on gradual exposure to the situations you've been avoiding
- Every four weeks, we measure your progress with the GAD-7 so you can actually see it working
How it works
Free consultation
We talk about what you're dealing with and figure out if we're a good fit. No cost, no commitment.
First session
Your therapist asks about your history, what's going on now, and what you want to change. You'll take a GAD-7 assessment so we have a starting point.
Weekly sessions
Each one-hour session builds on the last. You'll learn specific tools, try them out between sessions, and we'll go over what worked.
Progress check-ins
Every four weeks, you retake the GAD-7 so we can both see what's changed. We adjust the plan based on the data.
Who you'll work with
Daishea
LMFT #142484
Daishea has close to a decade of clinical experience treating anxiety. She uses an existential-humanistic approach alongside CBT, which means she's not just working on your thought patterns but also helping you figure out what actually matters to you underneath the worry. Anxiety and trauma are her primary specialties.
Leona Esmaeily-Aimua
LMFT #142467
Leona combines person-centered therapy with CBT, and she draws from her own experience with anxiety. She's good with clients who were taught to push their feelings aside and just power through. She works with anxiety, OCD, depression, and ADHD.
